Subject of agreement

Implementation and cost allocation of the ITK workshop held in connection with the ITK Conference at Hotel Aulanko and Sokos Hotel Vaakuna in Hämeenlinna. The workshops will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 10 AM to 5 PM. The duration of each individual workshop can be either 1 hour 15 minutes, 3 hours, or 7 hours. The workshops aim to be as practical and functional as possible in terms of content.

Contracting parties

The organizers of the ITK conference (hereinafter referred to as the ITK organization), responsible for managing the ITK conference and workshop venues, as well as ITK announcements, and the workshop implementing organization (hereinafter referred to as the Implementer).

Terms of agreement

  1. The ITK organization annually provides the facilities and opportunity for ITK workshops to be held at Hotel Aulanko and Sokos Hotel Vaakuna. There is a limited number of available spaces.

  2. The Implementer applies to become a workshop organizer primarily through the annual Call for Papers organized by the ITK organization. The ITK organization selects Implementers within the limits of available space.

  3. The Implementer is responsible for the practical implementation of the workshop, costs related to presenters, instructors, etc., procurement and expenses of specialized equipment, communication, and marketing, as well as the associated costs.

  4. The ITK organization includes the workshop name and a brief description in the printed ITK conference program and other publications and informs about the workshops in conjunction with other conference communications.

  5. The ITK organization handles workshop registrations and invoices any participation fees from participants.

  6. The Implementer is responsible for marketing their own workshop and the costs incurred thereof.

  7. The organizer will pay workshop space fee and administrative fee to the ITK organization (see the table below). The venue is equipped with a data projector, a screen, and an internet connection.

  8. Any workshop cancellations must be made by March 29, 2023. For workshops canceled later, the rental fee will be invoiced.
