Call for Papers

What happens during the Call for Papers process?

The ITK 2023 conference will consist of over 100 presentations proposed and submitted by the participants. At least three reviewers evaluate each proposal using the blind review method. We look forward to seeing your proposals based on your experiences and experiments - both successful and less joyful.

Start by selecting the most appropriate presentation format for your proposal from the  proposal form. You can submit a suggestion in one of the following formats:

  • ITK Workshop (Please read carefully the workshop agreement template before submitting your proposal)

  • ITK Forum

  • ITK Activity session

  • ITK Arena

  • ITK Poster

The formats differ in terms of duration and presentation method. Details of the different formats are given on the proposal form.

All proposals received will be evaluated. Each proposal is evaluated by at least three reviewers and is evaluated by the blind review method.

Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the level of functionality of the presentation, the relevance of the topic to the ITK theme of the year, the novelty value of the topic and applicability in practice.

Steps for submitting a proposal

Once you have selected the format, fill out the related proposal form. The proposal form asks for basic information about the proposal and a verbal description of what the proposal contains. All proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the content. Only a limited number of proposals can be selected for the program.

You can submit an application for each presentation individually, but you can also submit a joint application with multiple presenters.

The proposal form can be completed in parts and saved as a draft.

Companies may also submit a proposal, but commercial advertising speeches are not a part of ITK.

Remember to save your proposal by November 30 2022, after which all proposal forms will close.

The contact person who submitted the proposal will be informed of the choices in December 2022/January 2023. We reserve the right to decide upon the final conference program.
