Finland's largest digital education event, ITK2024, will take place in Hämeenlinna from April 17 to April 19, 2024, with the theme Ei tekoja ilman älyä – No actions without intelligence. The call for papers will begin on September 25, 2023 – please share your experiences and experiments with us by October 31, 2023.
The ITK2024 conference is built upon the proposals and presentations submitted by participants. Proposals can approach the theme of the year from various angles and address both successes and challenges – as learning often occurs precisely through them.
The ITK2024 conference brings interesting updates to the program structure. The familiar ITK activity sessions on Thursday and Friday will be replaced by a new 1-hour and 15-minute ITK workshop. Therefore, you can propose either a new short workshop or a longer one for Wednesday's workshop day. Thanks to this change, we will be able to accommodate a greater number of presentations in the Thursday and Friday program – promising a more diverse conference experience.
The Call for Papers offers a total of four different presentation formats:
ITK Workshop: An interactive event primarily focused on a single theme. The duration can be chosen from three options: 1 hour and 15 minutes / 3 hours / 7 hours. Workshops comprise the program for ITK Wednesday.
ITK Forum: In half-hour forum presentations, the focus is typically on presenting the results of one new pedagogical experiment or project applied in the digital world. Forum presentations are included in the Thursday and Friday program.
ITK Arena: Arena sessions, lasting for 45 minutes, are held in the large hall of Aulanko Arena. For the Arena, we welcome presentations that captivate the broader ITK community – the audience can accommodate hundreds of people. Arena presentations are scheduled in the Thursday and Friday program.
ITK Posters: Posters received a new splendid location in the conference hotel's second floor in the spring of 2023. The posters will be displayed on Thursday and Friday.
For each category, you can submit a proposal in Finnish, Swedish, or English – this means there will also be an international program section consisting of presentations in English.
